“Enhancing Our Veterans Quality of Life”
This year on Sunday, September 27th, the Boise Valley POW/MIA Corporation will be presenting our 16th Annual “Chrome at the Home” Motorcycle Show & Shine. It will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise, ID.
The idea behind “Chrome at the Home’ is to raise money for the residents of the Veterans home. All funds raised at the event will go towards “Enhancing Our Veterans Quality of Life” by paying forward for haircuts, items at the canteen and outings to the ball park, races and fishing, etc.
The day will include a chance for the residents of the home to get out and enjoy the day checking out the motorcycles and voting on their favorite. There will be a show and shine open to all motorcycles, no fee, with a "Veterans Choice" award to the motorcycle receiving the most votes from the veterans. Parking for the 'Show & Shine' will begin at 9 am, with voting all during the day.
Opening ceremony begins at 11:00 am with a salute to the residents of the home.
You will also enjoy a free BBQ lunch after the opening ceremony with a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle during the event of the items donated by local businesses.
All finds raised to go to the Idaho Veterans Assistance League.
We are currently seeking business sponsors willing to donate items to support the event. We would appreciate any items that would draw interest from participants at the “Chrome at the Home” event. We would also suggest any type of in-kind donation you might consider including advertising time, office supplies, sharing of employee/executive time. Your contribution is tax deductible as the Boise Valley POW/MIA Corporation is a nonprofit 501c(3) corporation.
